National Dog Day

National Dog Day is August 26th! Here are some fun dog facts to celebrate. 

• Forty-five percent of U.S. dogs sleep in their owner's bed
• A dog's sense of smell is amazing, but did you know their noses have as many as 300 million receptors? We humans have about 5 million
• Dogs curl up in a ball when sleeping to protect their organs—a hold over from their days in the wild, when they were vulnerable to predator attacks.
